Backing Up Your Photos 'without' a Preview Image

 
 

1. Launch ANDROID PHOTO BACKUP.

2.If the 'Getting Started' text is displayed Press the "OK" or "Dismiss" button.

“Ok” hides the help text until the application is relaunched or the device is rotated.

“Dismiss” disables the help text, but can be re-enabled in the settings menu.

CONFIGURING/SELECTING BACKUP TYPE:
 
 


3. Press the "Config" button

 
 

On the preference config screen:

4. Tap "Backup Mode" option

 
 

5. Select "Backup Only"

SELECTING SOURCE FOLDER: (where to copy photos from)
 
 

Under 'Folders' pick your source folder:

6. Tap "Source Folder"

 
 

7. In the file browser, browse to the folder with your photos in (your card reader with camera card in it-this may be different on your device from the screen shot)


8. Press and hold on the "." Current Directory item

 
 

9.  Press "Select ' . ' "

10. Tap "Destination"

 
 

11. In the file browser, browse to the folder where you want to backup your photos to. This will probably be the microSD card inserted into your tablet 


12. Press and hold on the "." Current Directory item

 
 

13. "Select '.' "

 
 

14. Now press the device back button to return to the main application screen

You should now see some images in the filmstrip, and a preview image.
The status information should say "Ready to backup photos"

BACKING UP:
 
 

15. Pressing the "Backup" button should now copy all the files from your source folder into your destination folder. It will put them in a folder called "APBCopy"

You have now made a backup of your camera card onto the internal card in your device.
